TBMC: Visualizing the Memory Layer

As brands scale, their identity gets fragmented across thousands of decisions, assets, teams and touchpoints. Strategy lives in one place, visual language in another, and the thinking behind it all slowly gets lost.
TBMC is building the memory layer for brands: an evolving system of the ideas, decisions and creative context that make a brand what it is, allowing it to remember itself as it grows.
With this brand, we visualized the memory layer through tracing, overlaying patterns, and evolving illustrations. To create a brand that is living, breathing, and constantly evolving we used multi-media layers, various organic and techincal motifs, and illustrations that dynamically fit themselves into unpredictable forms.

Multi-media brand system
Sometimes the brand is organic and imagery led, other times it is purely procedural. These contrasting layers work with one another to define the constant evolutions and variance of touchpoints in the memory layer of a brand system.

Built with scale in mind
Although these generations are dynamic and unpredictable, there are multiple procedural moments defined here that make the system scalable. Each asset layer within this brand is replicable with code. Each illustration node is animatable.
