An illustrative identity for NY-based venture fund, Black Jays.
Black Jays is a New York based venture fund investing in companies building the future of family. Dental care, pet care, education, family investments. Black Jays is helping founders across the board solve the needs of the modern family. They reached out to HEX to help visualize their new thesis with a new brand identity, messaging, fund website, pitch deck, internal collateral, and illustration system. We worked closely with their team to work on one of our proudest projects.

Playful illustrative system by Jonathan Calugi
We wanted to bring our brand vision to life with an expressive illustrative system. We worked with the one and the only, Jonathon Calugi, who helped translate Black Jays' vision into a custom set of characters and illustrations showing the industries they invest in.

Black Jays recruited Marcella Winograd, an interdisciplinary designer and photographer, to help capture a fresh series of images with Black Jays.

She helped them revamp Black Jays' imagery in adherence to our branding, and produced a gallery of assets for internal and external brand use.
