Rejected Brand System for Inference
Inference is a global network of data centers serving fast, scalable, pay-per-token APIs for AI models. Our brand concept visualized them as the "engine" or the "powerhouse" behind some of the biggest companies in AI. Which is why we used a lot of "engine" visualizations shown in colour and renders.
The concept was strong but didn't make the cut when we realized we wanted to go in a much more experimental direction for the brand. When this was first rejected, I was bummed as I felt this hit the brief right in the head but I think the brand we ended up going for is a lot stronger.

Final Thoughts
Still think there's legs to this system. Hopefully some ideas from here can be reused in something else down the line. I'm excited to share the final brand. I think it's our best so far, and it involves a lot of physics-led motion work that I'm also super stoked about.
